Current Mission & Vision Statements

Mission Statement:
To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human
needs in His name without discrimination.

Vision Statement:
To be a place where people of all ages live in safe and
sustainable communities, in which differences are respected,
and people are empowered to learn, work, and worship in
freedom (Mission and Vision).
SWOTT
ANALYSIS

Assessing both the internal and external factors of


the organization was fundamental to establish a
baseline and the development of the overall
strategic plan, this was accomplished through a
SWOTT analysis (strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, threats and trends. Based on our
analysis, the Salvation Army should focus on the
following critical areas:

● Strength: International recognition


● Weakness: Inclusivity
● Opportunity: Technology
● Threats: Economic instability

● Trends: Worldwide unrest

ANALYSIS

Porter's Five Forces analysis is used to


identify the strengths and weaknesses of
an organization. By utilizing Porter’s
model, the organization gains insight
into their current position in the market
and how they can continue to remain
viable.

The Salvation Army sector analysis has


identified high levels of threat in the
areas of Competitive Rivalry and
Bargaining Power. To continue to be a
leader in the industry, the Salvation
Army would benefit from increasing
their online presence, establishing
customer loyalty, and competing with a
group of diverse employees who have
versatile experiences in volunteerism.

PESTLE ANALYSIS

The PESTLE Analysis is utilized by


organizations to examine the external
factors which affect a company’s
continuation. These external elements
provide the Salvation Army with the
information necessary to successfully
navigate throughout the nonprofit
industry, such as upholding their legal
obligation as a corporation and mitigating
around environmental casualties. Through
extensive research and market upkeep, the
Salvation Army can ensure that
organizational standards are demonstrated
globally to provide a welcoming
environment to their followers.

By utilizing the organizational tools and techniques, the Salvation Army can successfully navigate throughout the nonprofit and charity
industries as a strong competitive force to be reckoned with. While maintaining their humanitarian core, religious foundation, and
historical appeal, the Salvation Army can transform their services by means which will reach younger generations, multicultural groups,
and individuals who have been stricken by crises. Together, the Salvation Army and their global followers can unite the world by
reaching their mission and vision of rebuilding communities and establishing a safe environment for equality and compassion.
