Hello, My name is Luigi and today I am going to tell you about my experience in Hawaii.
For my birthday, me and my family traveled to Hawaii. As soon as we arrived, we were
greeted by several people playing the pahu, which is a Hawaiian drum, and a ukulele, which
is like a mini guitar. Another group of people were also dancing the hula, which is a very
typical dance of theirs. We left the airport and we went to a hotel to hoseped down and we
ran to a beach that the hotel had, it was called Maui, it had golden sand and calm waters, it is
truly a paradisiacal place. Then for lunch we decided to try a very exotic dish from the area,
it was called Opihi, which is a small mollusk that is usually accompanied by a fresh salad,
this mollusk is eaten raw. Personally, I did not like it very much, it had a very bitter. Although
there is a challenge that if you eat more than 1000 opihis you can earn 1 more days in the
hotel totally free, I couldn't do it but I tried. At night a big party is set up, where there is a lot
of music, liquor stores open, they light bonfires and hold surfing competitions so I asked my
dad to give me some money to participate but he said no, then tactically wait for him to get
drunk and then ask him for money. I tried to convince my dad to take a little break and go to
the liquor store and since he's not stupid he gave me money to go compete and I went to rent
my surfboard and I competed. In the end I finished last in the competition but hey it was a
great day.
