1. Definition - IoT: stands for Internet of Things.
- It is a system of computing, mechanical,
digital or human that are provided with a
unique identification code (UID.
- Internet of Things devices can be objects
with sensors attached to collect data about
the surrounding environment,
computers/controllers that receive data and
give commands to other devices, or other
devices.
1. Definition
History of the formation and development of IoT
-The idea of adding sensors and intelligence to ordinary
objects was discussed throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
However, progress on this project was very slow because the
technology was not ready at the time. The chips were too
large and cumbersome, and there was no way for objects to
communicate effectively.
-Kevin Ashton coined the concept "Internet of Things" in
1999, despite the fact that the technology would take at least
another decade to scale as envisioned.
