The total man hours to complete a certain job includes the following:
Calculation of total man hours for concrete pouring includes all activities
on site such as preparation of tools and equipment , time consumed in
waiting for RMC or time consumed in mixing concrete if manual mixing on
site. It also includes levelling of unset concrete (rough finish only).
If the concrete surface is straight to finish the man hours consumed for
finishing the levelled concrete surface will be monitored separately under
the straight to finish man hours.
Man-hour Productivity
FORMWORKS
Calculation of man hours for formworks includes all activities on site such
as layout and levelling, installation of scaffoldings, fabrication of forms,
installation of forms, materials handling, hoisting and lifting, stripping, and
removal of excess formworks materials/equipment from formed area up to
the designated formworks stockpile area within the site.
Man-hour Productivity
REBAR WORKS
Calculation of total man hours for rebarworks includes all activities on site
such as fabrication, layout and levelling, material handling, hoisting and
lifting, setting up and installation of rebars including manhours consumed in
rectification until the area is poured with concrete.
Basically, calculation of total man hours for all scope of works follows the
same principle as per sample presented on the earlier slides.

CASE 1:
PRODUCTIVITY CASE STUDY
CASE 2 :
Facts:
PIC Charlie of Project E.B. has a group of Admin Workers composed
of 12 for Masonry, 80 for Formworks and 75 for Rebars. Project E.B.
has 17 floors and its scheduled top-off is March 30, 2014. As of
August 7, 2013, the project just completed the 6th floor and was
about to start the 7th floor. (Footprint Area = 3,300 sq.m)
Questions:
• With its current manpower, could the project meet the
scheduled top-off?
• If No, how much manpower should be added to meet the
schedule?
