Why I want to become a physiotherapist?

Introduction

• My name is Areeba Tahir. I was born in Lahore and did the intermediate from
UGI. I believe in the power of hard work. I believe “Today is your opportunity to
build the tomorrow you want”.
• I am currently studying DPT at University of South Asia and is determined to
serve humanity.

ages, helping patients to manage
pain and prevent disease.
How physiotherapy is done?

• Manual therapy is a technique where a physiotherapist uses their hands to


manipulate, mobilise and massage the body tissues. This can help: relieve pain
and stiffness. improve blood circulation.

• Geriatric Physical Therapy.
• Sports Physical Therapy.
• Orthopedics Physiotherapy.
• Pediatric Physical Therapy.
Why I want to become a physiotherapist?

 Becoming a physiotherapist 

 offers the opportunity for a challenging, rewarding and satisfying


career. Physiotherapists make a real difference to the quality of life for their patients,
enhancing their health and wellbeing by restoring functional movement.

 When I was a kid I used to read science fictional and non-fictional novel books. I feel
fascinated by reading about helping people by using our skills with dexterity.

 Real meaning of life is helping other and I think physiotherapist not only re-educate the
patients but also make them capable of using their abilities at their best and my main goal
will make them motivated.
Career in Physiotherapy

• Besides the passion of being physiotherapist there are many professional benefits
of this field:
• Physiotherapy is considered as a lucrative career option for science students
who intend to serve in the health sector. ... Initial remuneration
of physiotherapists varies from place to place. A good Physiotherapist who has
a sound knowledge and an experienced hand can earn a handsome amount in
this profession.
• Respect
