• Apply understanding of social, economic, and environmental
justice to advocate for human rights at the individual and system levels. Relevant Activities or Tasks
• Student will advocate for clients as well as educate clients on
their rights. • Student will ensure to the best of their ability that all clients are treated fairly. If the student recognizes that human rights are being denied, the student will bring that to the attention of their field supervisor. Outcomes • When appropriate to do so, I will educate clients on their human rights and provide them with resources to help practice and explore their rights. • As I continue working with clients, I will express concern to my field supervisor if I witness situations where I feel clients’ human rights may be ignored, are not being met, or may be taken advantage of. Competency 3.2
• Engage in practices that advance social, economic, and
environmental justice. Relevant Activities or Tasks
• Student will attend and participate in agency meetings and
trainings as well as promote community events that address social, economic, and environmental justice. • Student will participate in continuing education or other educational courses as well as research additional resources for clients that promote the advancement of social, economic, and environmental justice. Outcomes
• I currently attend as many weekly meetings as possible and
attend all trainings. I plan to attend additional trainings that work to promote social, economic, and environmental justice as they become available. • I will make clients aware of community or educational events as they pertain to social, economic, and environmental justice and encourage them to attend.
