It is important because having an

substances like dust may ruin the
experiment and give us inaccurate

This can accelerate their growth and improve the potatoes' overall health. Smaller potatoes will be able to
absorb water and oxygen and nutrients more quickly, which will enable them to grow more quickly. However,
larger potatoes will take longer to grow since the water and nutrients and oxygen will take longer to reach
them because they are larger.
if the size of the potato is small then it will grow more than the larger ones because when potatoes are
submerged in water, the nutrients and oxygen in the water are absorbed by the potatoes. This can speed up
their growth and enhance the potatoes' general well-being. Therefore, the quicker it can totally absorb the
water, the smaller it is.§

- one big potato
-a sharp knife
-a beaker filled

Methods
1) using the sharp knife cut the potato into three different sizes
2)put water inside the beaker at a consentration of 0.6 mol/dm^3
3)measure the three sliced potatoes size and weight
3)insert the three sliced potatoes into the beaker
Safety
-make sure to not slice your finger using the sharp knife if you don’t know how to cut using a knife then let
adults do it
-make sure to always leave the knife on the table if you have other people around you
add the same number of drops
for the same solution for
example adding 10 drops of
Benedict solution for each of the
experiments that need the
Benedicts solution –it is
important to use the same
number of drops for the same
solution the experiment so that it
doesn’t give inaccurate results
