 MS Dhoni is the second Indian captain to win his first home and abroad test matches. As a
captain, he won his first home test against South Africa, and first abroad match at Hamilton
against New Zealand.
 MS Dhoni is a WWE fan and his favourite wrestlers are Bret 'The Hitman' Hart and Hulk Hogan
 Other than Cricket and Football, Dhoni was really fond of badminton as well.
 His long hairs during the initials years of his international cricket career were inspired by John
Abraham
 Dhoni, with his victory at Hamilton against New Zealand, became the first Indian captain to win
a test match in New Zealand after a gap of 33 years.
 Sachin Tendulkar recommended Dhoni as the captain of Indian Cricket team.
 He holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army. He is
second one to receive the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Before him, Kapil Dev
was conferred with the same rank in Territorial Army

 Usain Bolts’ famous ‘To Di World’ pose was introduced first during the Beijing Olympics
2008.It was an instant hit around the world. The pose is called ‘Bolting’. Usain Bolt does
it after every win on the race track. That pose is interpreted as a dedication to millions of
his fans who have prayed, urged and supported him to win.
 In the 2008 Beijing Olympic, Usain Bolt won the 100 m final with record breaking time
of 9.69 seconds. He did this while his shoelace was untied during running. And that is not
all, according to the studies made by the University of Oslo, Bolt could have finished in
9.60 seconds time, had he not slowed down to celebrate his obvious win before reaching
the finishing line.
 Cricket was Bolt’s first choice of sport. He was a fast bowler. It was while bowling that
his coach noticed his talent for athletics. Bolt really loved sports and being a part of it, so
when his cricket coach recommend him to switch to athletics, he happily went on to track
racing. In the past Bolt has voiced his lifelong admiration towards fast bowler Waqar
Younis back then he was an ardent supporter of the Pakistani Cricket Team. He also
heartily spoke of his admiration towards Chris Gayle, Sachin Tendulkar and Matthew
Hayden.

headphones. Apart from this, Bolt owns a restaurant named ‘Tracks and Records’ in Jamaica.
He also owns a clothing line, the Bolt Collection, which focuses on 3 target markets, one of
which is the signature line of polo shirts etched with his trademark ‘To Di World’ pose.

diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency which was stopping his normal growth rate at a tender age

 In the world of badminton, Lin Dan is one of the well-known. At the age of 35, he has
already accomplished so much. Here is his story. Lin Dan was born on October 14, 1981,
in Longyan Fujian, China.
 At the age of 12 years old the people’s libertarian army, sports team took Lin Dan under
their wings. This was done when he won the national junior championship. When he
turned 18, he started playing for China's national badminton team
 Lin Dan participated in the 2000 Asian Junior Championships and won both the team
and the boy’s singles event
 Lin became the first player to win all of the present major titles available to Asians in
badminton both in the individual and national teams in 2010.
 During the 2008 Olympics, Lin Dan won the gold medal for the men’s singles. He
played his heart out for that championship win. Then the 2012 Olympics came back.
Again he played hard, and that hard work paid off
 Lin was the first and only player to win all nine major titles in the badminton world: the
Olympic Games, All England Open, World Championships, Asian Championships, World
Cup, Thomas Cup, Super Series Masters finals, Sudirman Cup, and Asian Games
 Lin Dan was only able to make one appearance at the Badminton Asia Championships.
But due to his health issues he had to withdraw after reaching the third round. He was
unable to play all of the games.
 He is the first person to win the medal two times in a row successfully. Not only is he a
2-time Olympic champion but he is also a five times world champion

Swimmer Michael Phelps is one of the greatest Olympic athletes of all time. He has won 18
gold medals in his career. That's more than any other Olympian. Michael Phelps also won
more gold medals in one Olympics, eight in 2008, than any other Olympian in history.
Michael did well at swimming from the start and was breaking records by the age of 10.
Michael swims a number of events and strokes including freestyle, breaststroke, and butterfly.
In 2008 he medaled in the freestyle (200m) and butterfly (100m, 200m) individual and relay
events. He's also medaled in the medley events which require all 4 strokes.

Manpreet represented India for the first time in a major tournament in the 2012 London Olympics.
In 2013 he led the junior national team, the same year he won the gold medal in the Men's Hockey
Junior World Cup and the 2013 Sultan of Johor Cup.
He won silver at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 and gold at the Asian Games in
Incheon.

Manpreet's national team continues to win gold. He won gold at the Asian Men's Hockey
Champions Trophy in 2016. The following year, in 2017, he was named captain of the national
team, and he led his team to victory in the Asia Cup that same year.
 Manpreet competed in his first Olympics in London 2012, where India finished 12th. In
2016, he competed in his second Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where the Indian team
defeated Ireland and Argentina but failed to qualify for the semi-finals due to a loss to
Belgium.
