HISTORY

In 1955, General Motors employee William G. Cobb

constructed the first solar car prototype called the “Sun
mobile”.

in 1976, Alan Freeman developed the first legally drivable

solar powered car.

DESIGN OF A SOLAR
CAR
 Solar panels (LONGI) : photovoltaic (PV),  Batteries ( SMA) :Solar battery is a type
cells are made from silicon or other materials of battery used in solar energy systems to
that transform sunlight directly into electricity. store energy.

that converts DC power to AC power and vice energy flowing in the motor corresponds

shape in reducing the air resistance ) of the vehicle across its
frontal area in square feet. CD=0.45 and coefficient of V represents the speed of
the vehicle

CONCLUSION AND
PERSPECTIVE

It is very necessary to switch to a new energy source - solar energy. friendly

alternative and eco-friendly. we hope that it won't be long before the majority of
people around the world switch to driving these modern vehicles, making a
positive difference to their lives and the environment.

The design should be studied in the future work for further details concerning
mechanical and electrical losses, because we experimented our project in an
ideal case where all the external forces are excluded.

So this car can be more advanced in the future by making it own body with solar
panels and in a way that can handle more than 2 peoples with higher speed and
acceleration
