‘View’ public toilet (case study)

Spot, Jiangning Qu, Nanjing Shi,
Jiangsu Sheng, China.
The building is hidden behind a small hill in the
north, overlooking the Foding Temple, Niushou
Mount, Foding Pagoda and Foding Palace
behind layers of tree tops. “View” is the theme
of this building.

Each spot is also a rest area for tourists and equipped with control
facilities and management rooms. Land is thus saved. Tourists can enjoy
convenient and comfortable use of toilets, and at the same time can take
a rest, view the scenery and recharge themselves.

The process of entering the lounge through the approach is


like a walk in the veranda on the slop. The veranda is
composed of boxes with opens on different levels so that
views in the distance are revealed one by one.
