INSPECTIO
N
Introduction

Throughout the life of a project, inspections will be performed for a variety of reasons. Building control inspections are carried
out to verify compliance with the building regulations. These can be carried out by a local authority building control inspector
or by an approved inspector. Inspections ma y be required for:

Excavations, before filling.

Foundations before covering
up. New drains before covering
up.
Ground beams and rebar
work. Completion.

It is important that inspection timing and frequency are properly organized, that proper reports are prepared, and that action
is taken if necessary. Inspection reports might contain the following information:

i. Details of the person the inspection was carried out for.

ii.Location of the inspection.
iii.Date and time of the inspection.
iv. Description of the nature of the inspection.
v. Details of any action taken.
vi. Details of any further action required.
Objective of the inspection :
To provide the client with objective, independent, and unbiased information about the condition of the building's systems
To check the components that are defective and require immediate attention or are expected to have a negative impact
on the building

Procedure for conducting a site inspection :

1. Ensure that the inspector has all of the equipment necessary to conduct a comprehensive
inspection. A measuring tape
Wearing safety boots and safety helmets Site
plan information

To prepare for a site inspection, good document management is essential. Inspectors must have access to the most recent
drawings to work from, which they can use to plan out the inspection and develop a checklist.

Once the preparation has been completed, an inspector will then be required to walk the site to make sure that everything
has been built to the specifications laid out in the plans and drawings.

The inspection checklist should be consulted to ensure all work has been done as planned, within safety regulations, and up
to the quality standards expected.
My job responsibilities during the inspection :
The site inspec tion will oc c ur onc e or twic e a week a c c ording to the working progress. My job responsibility during the
inspection is as follows:
a) Checked with the supervisor about the inspection schedule.
b) Prepared the site plans before the consultant visits the site
c) Ask the manpower to clear the place before the inspection
d) Help the consultant during an inspection by to referring the plans
e) Following the inspection, the consultant will be asked to sign the logbook.
f) Hand over the inspection logbook to the supervisor.

CONCLU
SION
I believe that this training program provides us with a fantastic opportunity to receive
hands-on experience and learn things that we would not have learned if we went straight
into a career. I a m appreciative of the opportunity provided by the Polytechnic Tuanku
Sultanah Bahiyah and SPK ASAS Sdn Bhd. To summarize, industrial training is an excellent
program that can help students become more qualified in the fields they desire today.
Throughout my industrial training, I also experienced how the genuine atmosphere in the
workplace and the positive relationships that aid each other help and work together.
