What is Covid-19?

Covid-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, first verified in the city of Wuhan, in the
Hubei province of China in December 2019. Covid-19 has spread to various countries in the world,
including Indonesia. The number of positive corona viruses (Covid-19) in Indonesia continues to
grow. Covid-19 was previously known as Noverl 201 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) of
respiratory disease, before the World Health Organization (WHO) declared its official name as
Covid-19 in February 2020. This virus

is the common cold, and this virus can cause more infection serious such as acute respiratory
infections (SARS). The most common symptoms of Covid-19 are dry cough, fever, and shortness of
breath. It is estimated that two days after the announcement 2 days after publication.
The virus is throught to spread throuht :
- Transmission of droplets (large respiratory droplets that sneeze, cough or drop).
- Aerosol transmission (when someone coughs or sneezes in the room).
- Transmission of contacts (turning the contaminated surface then begins the mouth, nose or eyes).
- Direct transmission (kissing, shaking hands, etc).
And the best way to prevent infection is to avoid exposure to the virus, by washing hands regularly
and thoroughly with soap and water (foam for 20 seconds) or using alcohol-based hand sanitizers (at
least 60%).
Other actions that can help spread Covid-19 namely:
- Avoid contact with other people who are sick.

- Avoid touching the mouth, nose, eyes or face.


- Cover coughing and sneezing (with tissue or elbows).
- Clean the surface with disinfectants (alcohol-based cleaning solutions).
- and us face masks (face masks cannot protect us from Covid-19, but will hang to prevent the
spread of disease to other.
- Do social distance, approximately 1-2 meters between individuals when in the crowd.
And my experience that can be told, namely:
- Out of the house only for purposes such as buying groceries for home.
- Always wear a face mask if you want to travel outside the house.
- Always keep your distance from others.
- Wash hands with soap or use an alcohol-based liquid such as a handsanitizer.
