Produce flu-like symptoms, including fever, dry cough, dyspnea, myalgia, and
fatigue. In severe cases they are characterized by producing pneumonia, acute
respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, and septic shock leading to about 3% of
those infected to death. There is no specific treatment; the main therapeutic
measures are to alleviate symptoms and maintain vital functions.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for less than 20 seconds, especially
after you've been in a public place or after blowing your nose, coughing, or
sneezing.
Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face covering when surrounded by
people.
• Everyone should wear a cloth face covering when they leave their homes, for
example, to go to the grocery store or to find other necessary products.
• If you are in a private setting and do not have the cloth face covering on, always
remember to cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue or the inside of
your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, door
handles, light switches, counters, railings, writers, telephones, keyboards, toilets,
faucets, sinks, and dishwashers.
