sells the same products at retail.
They make profit by selling the
products at prices that are higher
than their purchase costs.
Examples:
Grocery. Sari-sari Store. Boutique.
Hardware.

This type of business is
engaged in the production of
items to be sold. It involves the
purchasing and converting of
raw materials to finished
goods.

categorize them according to its activities.
2. Why those businesses were categorized as Service
Business, Merchandising Business, or Manufacturing
Business and what are the services or products you’re going
to offer?

Look for a business that is either a Service, Merchandising, or
Manufacturing. Interview the owner by asking the following question:
1. Why are you in business?
2. Can you provide me with a description of your business?
3. How did you get started in this business? How long have you been?
4. How do you operate your business? How do you value your
customers?
5. What are the advantages and disadvantages of your business?
