Al-Bara’ bin ‘Azib radhiyallahu ‘anhu menuturkan bahwa Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi

wa sallam menyampaikan khutbah kepada para sahabat pada hari Idul Adha setelah
mengerjakan shalat Idul Adha. Beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

ُ‫ُك لَه‬ َّ ‫صالَ ِة فَِإنَّهُ قَب َْل ال‬

َ ‫ َوالَ نُس‬، ‫صالَ ِة‬ َّ ‫ك قَب َْل ال‬ َ ‫اب النُّس‬
َ ‫ َو َم ْن نَ َس‬، ‫ُك‬ َ ‫ص‬َ ‫ك نُ ُس َكنَا فَقَ ْد َأ‬ َ ‫صلَّى‬
َ ‫صالَتَنَا َونَ َس‬ َ ‫َم ْن‬

“Siapa yang shalat seperti shalat kami dan menyembelih qurban seperti qurban kami,
maka ia telah mendapatkan pahala qurban. Barangsiapa yang berqurban sebelum shalat
Idul Adha, maka itu hanyalah sembelihan yang ada sebelum shalat dan tidak teranggap
sebagai qurban.”
