TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND

INTRODUCTION
• In the study of Nasrullah and Khan (2015), the
researchers found out that successful students are
known to be good time managers.
• Mendoza (2020) found that students who efficiently
manage their time typically achieve higher grades, while
those who do not efficiently manage their time typically have
the reverse effect.

Hypothesis
H1: The level of time management is highly correlated with
students’ level of academic performance.

INTRODUCTION
Statement of the Problem
The study aims to know the levels of time-management skills and the
academic performances among the Computer Science students at the
University of Mindanao.

Theoretical Framework
• Pickle Jar Theory proposed by Stephen Covey
The Pickle Jar Theory gives us insight into our schedule and allows us to make an effort
every day to place our most essential things first on our to-do list (Mulder, 2021).
• Educational Productivity by Herbert J. Walberg
Educational productivity is concerned with the influences on learning that affect a student's
academic performance. It is an investigation into academic achievement as well as how
students are taught.

METHODOLOGY
Design
Descriptive-correlation research is helpful because it
explores co-varying relationships between two or more
variables (Picciano, 2019).
Respondents
200 computer science students out of the total population of the
said curriculum in the University of Mindanao who are enrolled in
computer science program during the Academic Year 2022-2023
