In this topic, we will not talk about the sexual act, but we will talk about the reproductive
system and it’s function and sexual orientation.

SEXUAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

• Hormones are chemical substances secreted by endocrine glands


• The gonads (or sexglands) affect development and behavior by secreting estrogens
(Female hormones) and androgens (male hormones)
• Primary sexual characteristics refer to the sexual and reproductive organs themselves; the
vagina, ovaries and uterus in females and the penis testes and scrotumin males.
• Secondary characteristics are move superficial physical features that appear at puberty.
2. HUMAN REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

- Is an organ system by which human reproduce and bear live offspring.


MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

1. Testis- It is the source of spermatozoa


2. Prostate Glands- it is a gland that carries out both urine and seminal fluid.
3. Urethra- then leads to the outside of the body through penis
4. Sperm-it is a male gametes , one that necessary for the egg to develop and become a baby
5. Scrotum- it is a sac of skin where two testes are enveloped
6. Penis- it is where the jaculation occurs by sending sperm cells from the testis and secrete
out.
FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

1. Ovary- it is a pain of small, oval organs which produces ova ( ovum; female germ cell)
2. Fallopian tubes- are pair of thin tubes that leads from ovaries to the uterus
3. Uterus (womb)- is a hollow pear-shaped elastic muscular structure where fertilized
ovum (zygote) develops into a baby
4. Vagina- it is a tube leading outside of the body through the opening called the vulva

EXCITEMENT

• Erogenous zone
– These are parts of the body that are particularly sensitive to touch and pressure which
contributes to the sexual arousal
PHASES OF SEXUAL RESPONSE

1. Arousal phase – is a subjective sense of sexual pleasure


2.Plateau phase – is a brief period of time before the orgasm
3. Orgasm phase – is an intense, highly pleasurable experience.
4.Resolution – it is the stage where the decrease of arousal happens.
