Introduction

• A partition wall defined as a wall or division made up of bricks,

studding, glass or other such material and provided for dividing
from one room to another room.
• The metal partition refers to the facade specially used to separate
the indoor space. The application is more flexible and mainly
serves as a shield.
• Cladding is the application of one material over another to provide
a skin or layer. In construction, cladding is used to provide a
degree of thermal insulation and weather resistance, and to
improve the appearance of buildings.
Metal Partition

• Metal Stud Partitioning System – a metal framework to which

plasterboard is secured – it is simple to create a non-load
bearing dividing wall, enclosure or wall lining.
• This is a much quicker method of installation than using a
timber alternative and thus a cost-effective alternative.
• Metal Stud Partitioning uprights locate into floor and ceiling
tracks.
Metal Partition

• Uprights and tracks are formed from 146mm sections. Both

sides of the studwork are clad with plasterboard.
• Adding insulation material within the partition void, will
improve the level of soundproofing.
• Finally, the plasterboard is taped, skimmed and painted or a
decorative covering is bonded to the finished surface
Stability – metal is a material which is not prone to warping or rotting,
nor is it vulnerable to mould growth. While metal is not immune to
rusting, making sure a metal stud wall is protected by a vapour barrier
will ensure more extended stability.

Benefits of Metal Strength – heavy gauge metal studs are suitable in a load-bearing or
exterior wall, while lighter gauge studs work well in partitioning
Stud systems. As a material, metal’s strength doesn’t deteriorate the longer it
is used, meaning a building will have efficient, long-term structural
integrity.

Lightweight – believe it or not, metal studs are significantly lighter.

This makes them exceptionally easy to transport, store, install and
maintain once they have been fully fitted.
Easier to install – metal framing systems are considerably more
comfortable to handle than wood. They are lighter, and their
components can be easily adjusted or modified given they are fitted
with screws.

Pest resistance – ants, termites and other insects can cause substantial
damage to wood. The same cannot be said for metal track and stud
Benefits of Metal walls.

Stud Fire protection – metal is a fireproof material, whereas wood is an

incredibly volatile material to fire. Metal stud partition walls installed
with fire-resistant plasterboard will offer higher levels of protection.

Lower costs – metal stud wall framing is much more cost-effective

than a timber alternative.
Metal Cladding

• Metal cladding is a type of protective coating, where the protective

material such as metal powder or foil is bonded to a substrate by applying
heat and/or pressure.
• The study of metal cladding is significant because this method of
corrosion protection and wear protection is generally very reliable and
cost-effective.
• In addition, the process parameters can be optimized for different metals
and composites in various critical applications.
Metal Cladding

• The advantage of cladding is that the process as well as the material can
be chosen as per the needs of the application and the bond strength
required.
• The laser beam method of cladding can be used for ceramic coating as
well as metallic coating.
• Effective cooling in such cases ensures better micro-structure, and hence
only a smaller area is thermally affected.
• With metal cladding, the surfaces can develop adequate wear resistance.
The method is suitable for complex shapes as well.
• Durability: When it comes to durability, metal cladding is one of the most durable options among all the
cladding materials. With a strong surface, it hardly gets affected by external factors and does not get damaged
easily. The metal claddings are resistant to corrosion, water damage, and electrochemical reactions. Whether
you use them for interior or exterior purposes,

• Easy to Install: Without the need for extensive labor work, you can have them installed much quicker. As they
are manufactured in lightweight and larger sections, covering a larger area within a short time becomes
possible. With the specialized fastening systems, installing the metal claddings becomes even easier.

Benefits of Metal • Versatility: The versatility of the metal cladding makes it a preferred choice for different types of construction
projects. You can use metal cladding for the entire exterior of your building or some specific portions to give a
contrasting look. With its versatile use, you can give your building the look of your choice.

Claddings • Variety of Choices: The metal cladding has an advantage over other types of cladding materials such as
wood. it may provide your building with a number of design possibilities that can literally transform your
building exterior into something amazing in addition, you get more options when it comes to the design and
color aspects because steel materials can be shaped into decorative forms and sizes to change the overall
appearance of the building.

• Highly Sustainable & Eco-Friendly: With the world moving towards more environment-friendly materials
and resources keeping that in mind most of the metal cladding made today is created with recycled materials,
making them eco-friendly and lowering the quantity of material that ends up in landfills, and, because they are
made of common metals, they can be simply recycled at the end of their useful life as cladding.
• Budget-Friendly: If you are looking for a budget-friendly cladding option, metal cladding is the
best choice. They are very inexpensive as compared to the other cladding materials. Moreover, as
they have fewer labor costs involved, metal cladding can help in lowering your overall expenses
even more.

• Helps in Improving Insulation: Metal cladding is a good alternative for improving the thermal and
acoustic insulation properties of your property. This means that the building can maintain a cool
temperature even in hot weather conditions. Metal cladding also prevents excessive heat from
escaping which comes in handy, especially in cold weather conditions. So if you can choose it

Benefits of Metal
already looks like a great choice when it comes to better insulation and cutting your already inflated
electricity bill, also if you design your cladding in such a specific way then it can also provide you
with ventilation option.

Claddings • Low Cost of Maintenance: When it comes to maintenance metal is a highly durable substance that
requires extremely less maintenance or repair work in comparison to wood, stone, and painted
surfaces. Metal cladding is highly resistant to weather conditions and water and heat damage, also it
can be easily cleaned to maintain its looks and features.

• Fire Resistant: Metal as we all know melts at a very high temperature and is also non-combustible,
so it holds a very big advantage over other cladding materials such as wood which is very fire-
prone. Metal cladding can slow down the spread of fire reducing the fire damage to the structure. It
is one of the reasons you see metal cladding all around you.
