explanation
The variety of traditional dance arts in
Indonesia has its own characteristics and
uniqueness. Traditional dance is a dance
that has long developed in people's lives
and always describes the traditions and
cultural patterns of the community.
Traditional dance has become a culture for
certain ethnicities and identities that are
able to unite people. Traditional dances are
bound by the norms and customs of the
place where the dance exists, so that the
dance cannot be separated from other
customs or traditions.

Dongkrek From Madiun East Java
If we are on the Unipma Madiun
campus, we will encounter
Dongkrek Dance from the
Mejayan Village.The name
dongkrek comes from the sound
of the musical instruments used,
in the form of the sound "Dung"
which comes from a drum or
drum while "Krek" which comes
from the sound of a square-
shaped wood, on one side there is
a jagged wooden stalk so that
when rubbed it will sound.
"Crack".

imitate monkey movements (or in
Javanese it is called kethek). The
dance is accompanied by gamelan

way to beat it with
