What is background?

time or underlying a particular event
What is aim?

students' background, such as gender,
socio- economic status, the location of
schools, and find out which variables
influence students' attitudes towards the
Literature in English Component of the
English Language Syllabus.
Learners as a individual:-

 Every learner is different from anther


in every aspects.
 They different in as well a
psychological characteristics
 Learners also differ in their hereditary
,family background and environment
influencer.
Areas of individual backgrounds:-

 Chronological age
 Intellectual abilities
 Imagination
 Memory
Chronological age:-

 It  is the amount of time that has passed from your birth to the given
date.
 It represents the learners level of maturity.
 Learners are not same in age .
 The tutors should know about the age of learners.
Intellectual abilities:-

 Intellectual ability refers to the skills required to think critically, see connections


between disciplines and problem solve in new or changing situations.
 Every learner has different intellectual abilities: some learners understand quickly and
some learners are take their time to learn anything.
 So, the tutors should know about the intellectual abilities of every learner.
Imagination :-

 Imagination The ability of the mind to be creative or resourceful.


 It is the ability to form a mental image of something that is not perceived through the
senses.
 Every learner has different imagination :they see the things in different ways.

 Memory refers to the processes that are used to acquire, store, retain, and later retrieve
information.
 No every one memorize things in the same way.
 Teacher should understand that every one is not memorized thing in same way.
