In India there are three

major national festivals.
These festivals are
celebrated throughout
the country. They are:
•Independence day
•Republic day
•Gandhi jayanti
INDEPENDENCE DAY
India got its
independence from
the British on 15
august1947.From
that year 15 august
is celebrated as
independence day
of India.
REPUBLIC DAY
After getting
independence from
British,India made
their own constitution
on 1950 .After that
each years 26 January
is celebrated as
Republic day
GANDHI JAYANTI
Mohandas
Karamchand
Gandhi(1869-1948)
was a Indian
nationalist leader who
lead the country to
independence. His
birth day is celebrated
each year as Gandhi
jayanti on October 2
every year.
