An article must be organized in a proper way so as to draw the attention of the

3. Body (the main part of the
article, 2 – 3 paragraphs)
4. Conclusion (Ending paragraph
of the article with the opinion or
recommendation. )
EX. 1 MY FAVOURITE TEACHER : Tell us about a favourite teacher of
yours and say what you remember about him or her.
We will publish the most interesting articles next month.
 How many teachers are you going to write about? Which teacher would be
interesting to write about? What information must you include about the teacher?

 What title could you give for your article?

 How are you going to introduce the topic?

 How are you going to organize your ideas into paragraphs? What are you going to
write about first? Second?

 Who is the reader? What style you will use? What type of language could you use?
 My Favourite Teacher

I can remember my favourite teacher very well

indeed. He was my English teacher and because
it was a small, village primary school, he had to
teach us all the lessons such as : maths,
reading, writing, singing, art and so on.

His name was Mr. Espíndola and I think he had

taught at that school for years. He knew all the
children and even their parents as well. He was
quiet young and full of energy and his lessons
were always interesting.

He was also very kind and cheerful. The lessons

always started laughing and I felt really well
during his classes. We never got bored and he
made all interesting for us.
I think I will always remember him.
EX. 2 : We want to know everything about beaches around the world.
Write us an article about a beach that you like in your country or somewhere else,
explaining where it is located, how to get there, and why you like it.

If your article is chosen for the magazine, you will win a plane ticket to Pellines.

One of the nicest beaches in Spain: Playa Papagayo

Do you want to know one of the best beaches in Spain? Come to Lanzarote. In the
National Park of Los Ajaches you can find one of the finest beaches in Europe. You
can easily access the beach either by car or catamaran.

There are several reasons why this beach will surprise you once you get there. First
of all, you'll be delighted by the spectacular views from the top of the dunes.
Crystal clear warm waters, where you can safely swim or dive and be surrounded by
colourful fish.

Then, the fine sand will cover your feet and you'll be able to lie and sunbathe very
close to the sea with almost no waves. And, finally if you are hungry or thirsty you
can climb up the dunes and sit on a terrace contemplating the impressive views
while having a cool beer, a nice Margarita or a delicious hamburger.

What are you waiting for? Come to Papagayo beach, in my opinion one of the nicest
beaches in Europe where you can enjoy the nice weather, the great views of the
sea, and the lovely food and drinks.
