What does each part of the cell do?
Part Function
Made of cellulose which makes the wall rigid. Strengthens cell and
nucleus provides support.
cytoplasm Jelly like substance where the chemical reactions in a cell take place.
In a plant cell this contains a watery liquid called cell sap. It keeps the cell
cell membrane firm.
Barrier around the cell. It controls what can come in and out of the cell
cell wall
This is where respiration happens. It is a reaction which transfers energy
chloroplasts for the organism.

Where photosynthesis happens. They contain a green substance called

vacuole chlorophyll which traps energy transferred from the sun.
Controls the cell and contains genetic material.
