For example:
I am freshmen in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.
freshmen and Universitas Ahmad Dahlan = Noun
TYPES OF NOUN
1. Common nouns – dog, computer, river, biscuit
2. Collective nouns (names of a group of something) – a herd of cows, a flock of sheep
3. Proper nouns (the names of people, places and so on) – London, Anne, Plain English

4. Abstract nouns (names of things we can’t see or touch) – love, hope, fear, decision, poverty
2. PRONOUN
To take place of noun
Type of Pronoun:
1. Possessive pronoun (her, his, my, our, your, their)
2. Personal pronoun (I, you, he, she, it, we, they)
3. Indefinite pronoun (another anyone, anybody, anything, someone,
somebody, something, everyone, everybody, everything, none, nobody,
nothing, each, either, neither, several, some, many, few, all)
4. Interrogative pronoun (who? which? what? whose? whom?)
5. Demonstrative pronoun (this, these, that, those)
3. ADJECTIVE
 Modify noun or pronoun

For example:
1. She wore a blue dress.
2. The small dog barked at me.
3. A cool breeze made her shiver.
4. VERB
 Show action, makes statement or shows link between word relationship

1. Main verb
The horse jumped the fence.
2. Helping verb
The rider is not hurt.
5. ADVERB
 Modify verb / adjective / another adverb

For example
1. He drove slowly.
2. She spoke loudly.
3. The article is well written.
6. PREPOSITION
 Shows relationship between nouns or pronouns and other words in sentence

For example:
1. Your pen is on the desk.
2. The children went to the park.
3. We rested under the tree.
4. Jim hid behind the door.
7. CONJUNCTION
 Coordinating conjunction (connect phrase or clause)

For example:
The rug is blue and it is soft.
I want to eat, but I am really sleepy.
 Subordinating conjunction (introduce dependent clause)

For example:
I didn’t lock the door because I thought Dinda was still inside.
8. INTERJECTION
 Exclamatory words that express strong emotion

For example:
Ouch! That slap hurt!
Wow! I thought that you died!
