What are adjectives?

 An adjective is a describing word. It says


something more about a noun.
 An adjective can be modified by ‘very’ and ‘too’.
Different types of adjectives

Qualitative Adjectives:
They describe the shape,
size, colour, or manner of a thing or a person.
Quantitative Adjectives:
The adjectives of quantity
refer to how much or how many of a thing, for e.g.
some, no,many,much,five and few.
Demonstrative Adjectives:
They are used to point
at a person or a thing, for e.g. this , these, those, and
that.
Interrogative Adjectives:
They are used for asking
question, for e.g. who, whose, which and what.
Proper Adjectives:
They are formed from proper
nouns especially from names of places and persons,
e.g. Chinese, Asian, Pakistani.
Possessive Adjectives:
These point out the person
or thing to which the noun they are modifying either
belongs or is related to.
 This is her book.
 I love my school.
 He lent her his own coat to keep her warm.
