Objectives
This experiment aims to
1. Illustrate the different types of condensation process.
2. Calculate the heat transfer coefficient during condensation
process.
Condensation Process
Condensation refers to the transition of a substance from
a gaseous to a liquid state of matter.

Evaporation refers to the transition of a substance from a


liquid to a gaseous state of matter.

This process occurs under particular pressure and


temperature conditions (Condensation point, Evaporation
point).
Condensation Process
Condensation occurs when vapor comes into
contact with a wall whose temperature is
lower than the saturation temperature of the
vapor.
