GRINDING MACHINE TO CUT IRON

 BACKGROUND
• Grinding machine is a tool that used for abrasive metal cutting process through friction
between the abrasive material and workpiece/metal.
• Grinding can also be used to sharpen workpieces such as knives and chisels,and can also
used to prepare the surface of the workpieces to be welded.
• With a variety of benefits and functions of the grinder then required the development of
grinding stone to support it
 PROBLEM FORMULATION
• Grinding is not a process without problems.
• The problem is damage related to heat,rough surfaces,vibrations and grinding wheel wear
fast.
• Common problems analyzed in the process in order to successfully show how those
parameters can be optimized and quality improved grinding.
• The formulation in this study is the influence of use epoxy adhesives and phenolic adhesives
on impact setrength and wear and tear on the manufacture of 4 inch grinding stone.
 OBJECTIVES
• The aim of this research is:
• Knowing the effect of using epoxy adhesives and adhesives phenolic on impact strength and
grinding whell wear.
• Knowing the quality of the grinding stone that is designed by yourself with a grinding stone
that is already on the market.
 DISCUSSION
• Academically this research can be used as a reference or comparison for further research in
order to obtain better grinding results.
• In industrial terms, this research is expected to serve as an alternative to be able to increase
production efficiency easily and inexpensive.
• And with this method of making grinding stones it is hoped that producers can easily make
stones grind yourself.
 CONCLUSION
• Grinding machines have various types according to the desired needs
• checking the grinding stone before use is very important because it relates to work safety
and the final result of the grinding that is carried out
• Before grinding, of course, it is necessary to pay attention to the use of safety equipment
because the chips produced are in the form of very fine dust
