Electric vehicle introduction
An electric vehicle, also called ev, uses one or
more electric motors or traction motors for
propulsion.

An electric vehicle can be powered by a

collection system with electricity from off-
vehicle sources or can be powered by itself
with a battery, solar panels or an electric
generator.
How it works
An electric car uses up to 90% fewer moving components
compared to a car with an internal combustion engine.

Also, with the transition to the electric motor, the

components necessary for the operation of these machines
have changed.

 Although it is easy to guess how an electric car works,

first you need to familiarize yourself with its components
to fully understand it.
Component parts
 The electric motor uses electricity to set the
wheels in motion.

 The battery stores the electricity necessary

for the operation of the electric motor.

 Transmission system a gearbox with

multiple ratios

 Inverter
Component parts
Power control and distribution unit
regulates the transfer of electricity between
the battery, inverter and charging system

Temperature management system

Dc-DC converter this component replaces

alternator

On-board charger
Advantages
 Zero emissions when using an electric vehicle;

 Lower price of electricity compared to diesel or gasoline;

 Bonuses that states are willing to give to those who buy such a
vehicle;

 Reduced noise pollution;

 Periodical revisions will generate lower maintenance costs

throughout the service life.
Disadvantage

High purchase price;

The number of public outlets is not a high one;

Electric cars still cannot travel distances comparable to those of

a car with a diesel or gasoline engine;

If in the case of cars with internal combustion engines the

power supply takes place in just a few minutes, in the case of

electric models you need to allocate more time to recharge the

batteries;
In conclusion: the benefits of owning an
electric car
You will get help from the state. It's important to follow government programs to be among the
first to benefit from them.

 Cleaner air for all – by reducing pollution, we ensure a healthy life for ourselves and for
everyone around us.

 You will spend less on repairs, so lower expenses with car repairs.
