TASTING AND
EATING
THE TEETH
➤ Gives shape to our face.
➤ Two sets of teeth *Milk teeth &
*Permanent teeth.
➤ Milk teeth or baby teeth or
temporary teeth
➤ Babies have 20 milk teeth and an
adult has 32 teeth.
➤ After the age of 6 or 12 the milk
teeth fall out and permanent
teeth grows.
INCISORS AND
CANINES
➤ Incisors are flat and sharp edged

➤ Totally 8 ....four in upper jaw and


another four in the lower jaw
➤ Cutting and for biting
➤ Canines
➤ Sharp and pointed teeth.
➤ Called dog teeth
➤ Totally 4.... Two in each jaw.
PREMOLARS AND
MOLARS
➤ Premolar

➤ Flat and wide


➤ Totally 8....4 in each jaw
➤ Crushing and grinding the food.
➤ Molar
➤ Stronger than premolar
➤ Totally 12..... 3 in each jaw
➤ Crushing and grinding.
Tooth decay ( formation of
cavity)

Plaque
FLOSSING
➤ Removing the food
stuck in between the
teeth.
➤ Thread like object made
of nylon or silk called
dental floss.
