Reopening

Africa
for Good
Trusted Travel aims at digitizing, simplifying, and
improving the security of port and travel screening
activities, thus helping curb the spread of
pandemics.

The Trusted Travel suite is composed of advanced technologies to ensure robustness, speed in delivery and
improved analytics in the port, travel and health security management of nation states and sub-national
entities.
Trusted Travel is powered by PanaBIOS with support from Africa CDC
and Econet.

By bringing a social entrepreneurial approach to this increasingly critical

area, Trusted Travel ensures that privacy and human dignity objectives
remain at the heart of these emerging systems and that abuses against
vulnerable groups are “designed out”.

SUMMARY OF HOW IT WORKS
Labs and Health facilities are registered as certified Trusted Travel Labs.

When tests are carried out, they present the patience/traveller a Trusted Test Certificate which has
Trusted Testing Code (TT Code).

The TT Code is used as evidence of the test to generate a Travel Code (TC) for international
travel.

Ports and airlines will demand the TC as a standard clearance procedure during international
travel.
THE TRUSTED TRAVEL ADVANTAGE

No cost to set up for health authorities

No maintenance charges for citizens

No ongoing fees during the Covid-19 crisis

Cloud-enabled for immediate roll-out.

Funded through value added services
