INTRODUCTION

 Nowadays, accountability at work is very important to a


business success and performance as a whole. Every
employee is responsible in fulfilling task, no matter what
level of seniority

 Management accountability is a process whereby a Doing


manager responsible for carrying out a define set of the right
duties or actions thing

 The fundamental truth is that accountability for the entire


organization belongs to every individual employee’s and
the key word statement is “Doing the right thing”.

 Responsibility can be given or received, even assumed as
well as it can be shared. Many people are responsible to
you in your new business - Your sponsor, the people in
your organization as it begins to develop.
Your sponsor was responsible for bringing you into the
business,
but it doesn't stop there your sponsor is also responsible for
helping
to make sure you are properly trained, and that you receive
all the necessary coaching, and support as you begin your
growing
business.

ACCOUNTBILITY

Accountability cannot be shared. Accountability is


something you do yourself not something that
someone does to you. We often hear the term "shared
responsibility", but there is no such thing as "shared
accountability". One could define accountability as
the "ultimate responsibility".

Who is accountable?
-The person who makes the final decision and has
the ultimate ownership.
 President of Unite State Harry S. Truman
said , “while many people are responsible for your
individual success in your new business, only one
person is accountable for your success, and that
person is YOU”!

WHAT IS DOSH
 The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) is a department under the
Ministry of Human Resources.
 This department is responsible for ensuring the safety, health and welfare of people at
work as well as protecting other people from the safety and health hazards arising from
the activities sectors which include:
 Manufacturing
 Mining and Quarrying
 Construction
 Hotels and Restaurant
 Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing
 Transport, Storage and Communication
 Public Services and Statutory Authorities

Example

The situation at Enron is another strong example of


accountability - where the actions of a few unethical
individuals caused great harm to the broader
corporation and all stakeholders. In the case of
Enron, the individuals involved in the negative
actions are held accountable for the subsequent
consequences, which reduces the possibility similar
things will happen again in the future.

 Successful accountability exists when appropriate behavior is
objectively evaluated and results in effective consequences.

 It is appropriate to hold employees accountable for behaviors over


which they have control.

 Generally, appropriate behaviors for employees include:


 complying with safety policies and rules,
 reporting injuries and hazards immediately
 warning other employees of hazardous conditions or behaviors

 If a workers gets any accident and disobey a safety rule, but the safety
management system has somehow failed the workers, discipline is not
be taken by top management.

following four step disciplinary policy will be applied to
everyone by the appropriate level of supervisor:

CONCLUSION
