Adjective Match!
The teacher will create a deck of cards (visual) with different
adjectives written on each card.
-Each player chooses an image.

-If the player can describe the image with all four cards they
win. If not, then discard a card and choose a new card from the
pile.
-Play continues until a winner is found.
DESCRIPTIVE ADJECTIVES tell us of the size, shape, color, taste,
sound, texture, or other common characteristics of persons,
places, animals, things, or events.

They may also be descriptions based on proper nouns. These are


called common and proper adjectives.

Examples:

Common Adjectives: The city of Vigan is known for its beautiful


beaches.

Proper Adjectives: Inciang packed the clothes in a rattan tampipi.


LIMITING ADJECTIVES, on the other hand, tell us the quantity or number of a noun
or point out which it is.
 They maybe numerical (specifically), cardinal (how many), or ordinal (in what
order).
 They may also be articles or determiners (a, an and the)

Examples:
Numerical: Many foreigners were stranded in the Philippines due to the pandemic.

Cardinal: China was first hit by COVID ’19.

Articles or Determiners:
The Enhanced Community Quarantine was extended due to the increasing
number of covid cases.
An article about the possible vaccine was released on broadsheets.
A shortage of food supply was observed during the lockdown.
