FIGURES
MATH 6, QUARTER 1
MODULE 1
LESSON 2
The figures in Group A have two
dimensions, length and width. Plane
Figures are flat, closed, and have two
dimensions. Therefore, the tablet, the
puzzle, and the disc are examples of
plane figures.
A rectangular prism has six faces,
the top, the bottom, the right side,
the left side, the front, and the
back. The faces of a rectangular
prism are squares and rectangles.
The figures in Group B have three
dimensions, length, width, and
height. Solid Figures are three-
dimensional figures. Therefore, the
box, the party hat, and the ball are
examples of solid figures.
