At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a. Identify, name, and describe four basic shapes(square,rectangle,triangle and circle) in two-
dimensional (flat/plane)objects ; and
b. Construct any figure using cut outs of squares,rectangles,triangles,circles,half-circles and quarter
circles.

TANGRAM
Is a chinese puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes that can be arrange to make various figures.
The piece of tangram are one square,one parallelogram, and five triangles

TWO-DIMENSIONAL SHAPES
•They are only be drawn on a flat surface such as paper.
•They have two dimensions length and width.
•Two-dimensional shapes are also called plane shapes.
5. Circle has no length or width but it is also considered as a two-dimensional shape.When you divide
circle into two equal parts, each part is called a(6) half-circle.When you divide circle into four equal parts,
each part is called(7) quarter circle.

V. ASSIGNMENT:
Using the cut outs of triangle,square,rectangle,circle, half-circle and quarter circle.Make any figure that
can be seen in your sorroundings. Put it in a long bond paper(10 points).
