Lesson Plan Math 1 Four Basic Shapes

This lesson plan outlines teaching students about the four basic shapes: square, circle, triangle, and rectangle. The lesson begins with an introductory activity to engage students by having them arrange picture puzzles of the shapes. The teacher will then provide direct instruction by explaining the defining characteristics of each shape using media presentations. Students will then complete guided practice activities appropriate to their ability level, such as matching shapes to names or drawing and labeling the shapes. The lesson concludes by having students identify shapes in examples and list real-world objects that correspond to each shape.
