Pupils will answer based on their

The four basic shapes are Circle,
Square, Rectangle, Triangle

How can you describe circle?


Triangle? Square and Rectangle? The pupils will listen attentively.

Circle has no sides.


Triangle has three sides.
Square and Rectangle has four sides.

Today we are going to learn on how to


draw the four basic shapes. How to
draw a circle? Square? Rectangle and Pupils will also draw in the
triangle? Teacher will model to the blackboard.

3. GUIDED PRACTICE

-With the teacher let the learners draw


the four basic shapes in the air, in their
desk, at the back of their classmates and
in their palm.
- In a group of three have the class do
the following activity:

their shapes?Match the pictures in their
shapes.

Group 2. Connect the dots/lines to form


the shape.

Group 3. Find all circles and color it


green, find the squares and color it blue.
Find all the rectangles and color it red.

4.GENERALIZATION
How to draw the four basic
shapes ( circle , square, rectangle,
triangle)? A circle is a round shaped
figure that has no corners or edges . A
square has 4 corners and 4 equal sides.
A rectangle has 4 corners and 4 sides
with only opposite sides that are parallel
and equal. A triangle has 3 corners and
3 sides.

The teacher will let the pupils count


the objects and read the number in
each pictures.
Have the pupils match the number of
objects to each numerals.
IV.ASSESSMENT
Read and draw the needed shapes in each box.

Draw a house using the four basic shapes in your
