This document discusses the body parts of animals that live in water. It explains that fish are covered in scales for protection, and their smooth, overlapping scales allow water to slip smoothly over their bodies as they move. It also mentions that shrimp, lobsters, clams and mussels are covered by an exoskeleton or shell. The document defines adaptation as a structure or behavior that helps an organism survive in its environment, giving the example of fish scales as an adaptation for living in water.

Where do animals live? What are the different habitats of animals? Why do you think animals live on the different habitats? Animals have body structures that help them adapt to water. Fish are covered with scales for protection from disease and from other animals that live in water. Their scales are smooth and slimy, arranged overlapping from head to tail so as the water slips smoothly as it moves forward. Shrimp and lobsters are covered with outside skeleton or exoskeleton while other animals like clams and mussel are covered with shells. An ADAPTATION- is the structure or behavior that helps an organism survive in its environment. INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITIES: List down as many aquatic animals as you can and draw it in a bond paper. Put it in your portfolio.
