KASUS RUANGAN
• In the planning of a two-room building as shown in
Figure 1, the contract state that the total floor area
of the building must have a minimum area of 5000
m2 and each room of the building must have a
maximum specified area of 5000 and 3000 m2,
respectively. With theses specifications, it is
possible that the optimum solution will be a single
room of 5000 m2. Revenue of the room 1 is $50/m2
and the room 2 is $60/m2. The Goal is to Maximize
total revenue

• X1 + X2 ≥ 5000
• X1 ≤ 5000
• X2 ≤ 3000

• X2 ≥ 0
KASUS MIX MODEL
A Contractor is considering two gravel pits from which he may
purchase material to supply a project. The unit cost to load deliver
the material to the project site is $5/m3 from pit 1 and $7/m3 from
pit 2. He must deliver a minimum of 10.000 m3 to the site.
The mix that delivers must consist of at least 50 percent sand, no
more than 60 percent gravel, nor more than 8 percent silt. The
material at pit 1 consist of 30 percent sand and 70 percent gravel.
The material at pit 2 consist of 60 percent sand, 30 percent gravel,
and 10 percent silt.
