ZERO EMISSION

KUSHAGRA
INTRODUCTION

• Zero emission refers to an engine, motor, process, or other energy source, that emits no

waste products that pollute the environment or disrupt the climate.
HISTORY

BACK THEN NOW

• USE OF COAL • USE OF ELECTRICITY
• USE OF PETROL • USE OF NUCLEAR POWER
• USE OF WOOD • USE OF SOLAR ENERGY
• USE OF GAS
WHY NEEDED

• INCREASING POLLUTION
• DECREASING FUEL
• DEPLATING FOSSIL FUELS
• GLOBAL WARMING
• CLIMATE CHANGE
MAIN NEED: GLOBAL WARMING

GLOBAL GREENHOUS
WARMING E EFFECT CO2
EXAMPLES OF ZERO EMISSION ENERGY

• SOLAR PANALS
• WIND MILLS OR TURBINE
• HYDRO ELECTRICITY
• NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
• FUEL CELL
EXAMPLES OF ZERO EMISSION VEHICLES

• COMPRESSED AIR CAR

• ELECTRIC CARS
• BICYCLE
REVOLUTIONARY IDEA: FUEL CELL

• A fuel cell is an electrochemical

cell that converts the chemical
energy of a fuel (often hydrogen)
and an oxidizing agent (often
oxygen) into electricity through a
pair of redox reactions.
• Fuel cells can produce electricity continuously for as long as
fuel and oxygen are supplied.
• Used to generate power for satellites and space capsules.
• Used for primary and backup power for commercial, industrial
and residential buildings and in remote or inaccessible areas.
• They are also used to power fuel cell vehicles, including
forklifts, automobiles, buses, boats, motorcycles and
submarines.
