Label is defined as a small piece of
paper, fabric, plastic, or similar
material attached to a product and
giving information about it.
FOOD LABELS ARE STANDARDIZED TO MAKE THEM EASY FOR THE
CONSUMER TO UNDERSTAND AND TO MAKE FOOD COMPARISON
EASIER.

• The name of the product
• Description of the product
• A list of ingredients
• The net weight or net content
• The name and address of the manufacturing party or importer
• The date of expiration
• Information on Nutritional Content
(Nutrition Fact)
• Direction of using
• Direction of storing
• Halal certification

• Food & Drugs Supervisory Agency
(BPOM)
• Law No. 33 of 2014, on Halal Assurance
