Definition
The reproductive system of an
organism, also known as the genital
system, is the biological system made
up of all the anatomical organs
involved in sexual reproduction. Many
non-living substances such as fluids,
hormones, and pheromones are also
important accessories to the
reproductive system.
Female Reproductive System

Female are protectively located deep within


the body.

These include:

 Ovaries
 Fallopian tubes
 Uterus
 Cervix
 Vagina
 Endometrium
 
Parts definition
Ovaries - one of the typically paired essential female reproductive organs that produce eggs and in vertebrates
female sex hormones.

Fallopian tube - the pair of tubes that carry the egg from the ovary to the uterus.

Uterus - also known as the womb, is a hollow, pear-shaped organ located in the pelvis of individuals who are
assigned female at birth.

Cervix - The lower, narrow end of the uterus that forms a canal between the uterus and vagina or the entrance to the
womb.

Vagina - A tubelike passageway in the female that connects the external genitals with the uterus.

Endometrium - The inner mucous membrane lining of the womb (uterus) that undergoes changes 


in structure and thickness at different stages of the menstrual cycle, and much of which is shed at menstruation.
