Form I-140 is a form submitted by a prospective employer to


petition an alien to work in the US on a permanent basis.

This is done in the case when the worker is deemed


extraordinary in some sense or when qualified workers do not
exist in the US.
I-9

✔ Form I-9 to verify the identity and employment authorization of


individuals hired for employment in the United States.

✔ All U.S. employers must properly complete Form I-9 for each
individual they hire for employment in the United States. This
includes citizens and noncitizens.

✔ Both employees and employers (or authorized representatives of


the employer) must complete the form.

Form I-94, the Arrival-


Departure Record Card, is
