Introduction -:
• Two-wheelers have claimed the highest number of lives — nearly 70,000 people — in road accidents in the
country during 2021. According to the latest report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), as many as
1,55,622 people lost their lives due to road accidents in 2021
• Motorcycle technology is uncommon in the market,Most options are unrealistically expensive
• We are using bluetooth and camera for wirelessly communicate with one another in real time and to record their
trip and also for safety in case of an incident on the road.
• We are try to create a cheaper option for motorcycle safety, competitive price compared
to other expensive options.

Operational Definition/Mechanism -:
How does a Bluetooth helmet work ?
The receiver attaches to the bottom of your full-face helmet, ideally near your mouth, so the device can pick
up your voice. The receiver will then wirelessly connect to your phone, music player or another rider as long
as they are within range. You do not need to be cut off interaction due to the fact that you are riding a bike.

How does helmet camera works ?

A helmet camera, otherwise known as a micro video camera, is an action camera, usually a closed circuit
television camera, attached to a helmet allowing someone to make a visual record from their point of view
(POV), while keeping their hands and vision free.

Literature Review -:
Many countries have strict regulations relating to the use of helmets by motorcyclists. These laws vary considerably
depending upon the country. Many countries have their own sets of standards that are used to determine the
effectiveness of motorcycle helmets; some of the standards are AS 1698 (Australia), CSA CAN3-D230-M85 (Canada),
JIS T8133 (Japan), NZ 5430 (New Zealand), ECE 22.05 (Europe), DOT FMVSS 218 (United States of America), ANSI
Z90.1 (United States of America), BS 6658:1985 (Britain), BIS 4151-1982, ISO/R 1511, Snell M 2005 (United States of
America).
But in India,The recent announcement by the Bangalore police states that the use of headphones and Bluetooth
devices while driving or riding is prohibited. Opposing the decision, the two-wheelers Helmet Manufacturers
Associations showcased its support for the technology used while driving. Bluetooth technology has been permitted
for use while driving worldwide, as per the Association during the modern age. The current scenario also sees four-
wheelers and two-wheelers provide Bluetooth due to change in technology and convenience.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr Rajeev Kapur, President of, Two Wheelers Helmet Manufacturers
Association, said, “India is not the only country to adopt it.” Advanced countries like the USA have already adopted
the technology. As the people of today drive any type of vehiclewith the aid of GPS, the reasoning for Bluetooth
usage becomes logical and straightforward. GPS maps in cars provide ease of comfort while driving offers no
hindrance and aids in reaching the correct destination. Bluetooth accessories can’t be accurately restricted or
concluded to be used towards making or receiving phone calls. For a rider to prioritize navigation, Bluetooth
accessories can be synced and used alongside the mobile phone’s GPS.

Gap Identified through literature/
Research Gap -:

• The technology has been recognised as a convenience feature. It also does dissuade
citizens from using their handheld devices due to the ease of use. Mobile phone technology
has now integrated into our lives, and many people use phones while driving and riding for
navigation. However, this is dangerous and may lead to an accident endangering the lives of
the occupants as well as other road users. But Bluetooth devices may minimise the risk of
accidents as the driver/rider is able to hear directions on the Bluetooth devices without
having to touch their phones.
•Send and Receive Texts
It is possible to set audible alerts on your Bluetooth helmet so you can hear the notifications
that you receive while riding. It is even possible to respond to these messages since modern
applications make it easy to dictate and send messages.

Project Outcomes/Course
Outcomes (PRO/CO) -:
• In this project we have successfully designed a smart helmet band using bluetooth and camera technology.

• The Bluetooth helmet has an extremely strong and sturdy build that can resist high wear and tear. Lightweight
and durable, this versatile helmet is a must-have in every bike enthusiast’s collection.

• This is a situation where we found some solution to the problem of increased death ratio.

• Share Your Rides

• The simple presence of a visible helmet camera can help to deter some bad behaviour from other road users
