Rizal wenT home for the


second time on June 26,
1892 and went
immediately to the
Malacañan Palace
For two reasons:

To ask pardon for his family


For the possible agreement for
Borneo settlement
Visits to his friends
To convince them for possible
support they could give from the
various reforms he aspired for the
country

RIZAL’S
ARREST
Three days after the
foundation of La Liga Filipina,
Rizal was accused of having
brought with him in Hong Kong
leaflets entitled Pobres Frailes
(Poor Friars)
Despite his ignorance, he was
arrested and exiled in Fort Santiago
charging him of being incommunicado
(ex-communicated).

On July 14, 1892, he was sailed to


Dapitan for his deportation without
due trial.
