 The main functions of an exchange are to maintain fairness and order among buyers and sellers, and to
efficiently disseminate information about prices for any type of security that trades on that exchange.
 A stock exchange provides a platform where such trading can be easily conducted by matching buyers
and sellers of stocks

The process of invest in stock market:
1. Select a broker house:
Broker house : A brokerage house, also called a brokerage firm, is a company licensed to buy and
sell stocks or securities. Acting as an intermediary between buyers and sellers, this company
typically employs brokers who carry out the wishes of the firm's clients as they pertain to the
trading of stocks.
 Broker is a person that facilitates transactions between traders, sellers, or buyers. Think of a
broker as a middleman who ensures that the transaction can run smoothly and that each party
has the necessary information. Brokers exist in many industries, including insurance, real
estate, finance, and trade.
2. Open a BO account:
 BO Account stands for Beneficiary Owners Account. If you want to start investing and stock
trading in the stock market in Bangladesh then you need to open a Beneficiary Owners
account. Just like a Bank Account is used to hold your money, your BO account is used to
hold your shares.
 Openning ost is 450- 600 BDT.
3. Select IPO or Secondary market:
 IPO market:
 Company sells stock for the first time.
 Apply to it by BO account by contract on broker house.
 Almost riks free.
 Investment amout is considerable by face value of a company.
 Secondary market:
 the financial market in which previously issued financial instruments such as

stock, bonds, options, and futures are bought and sold.
 you can invest any amount to it. but minimum 20000 BDT is considerable
ammout for get enough profit or devident.

BO account stands for
