Free space in ‘C’ partition
 
‘S’ partition for database

Content Installation DVD:
NEUROWERK_SW_Installation_64.exe: Two .bin files
These are used for NEUROWERK installation.
 
Before_Installation.exe:
 
This application will check whether the framework is compatible with SQL and whether
there is a ‘S’ partition on the computer with enough free space
 
dotnetfx35.exe:
 
You need this file for the framework installation (you might need internet connection to
continue this installation).

Starting Installation:
You have to copy all the files from the DVD to your computer desktop and Close Windows
 
Explorer
 
open Before_Installation.exe
 
This file will check the framework and in case it is not installed on the computer you will get an
error message as shown in the pictures below:

NEUROWERK INSTALLATION CONDITIONS
To solve this problem you have to install the framework from the file dotnetfx35.exe, and
you might need internet connection to download some missing file components.
 
After dotnetfx35.exe finished please reopen Before_Installation.exe and check it again. If
everything is ok you will get the message as shown below and you can start the
installation:

If there is no ‘S’ partition on the computer the message will look like this:

And you have to create a new partition and call it ‘S’.

Disable user account control
Before you start the installation,
please deactivate the User Account
Control of your Microsoft Windows
version. You find this in the control
panel,accounts.

Starting the installation by double click on NEUROWERK_SW_Installation_64.exe
 
Accept the window ‘run as administrator’ and now you have two options for installation:
New installation with SQL server:
Choose this option if…
 
…you would like to install NEUROWERK SW for EEG or EMG and you never had the
NEUROWERK SW installed on this computer before.
 
…you already have NEUROWERK SW on this computer but you want to install everything new.

- This installation option will call full installation and it is also used if you want to use the
software as a DEMO

Installation components:
 
1. Copy NEUROWERK & Pro Data Folders
 
2. Backup existing NEUROWERK & Pro Data folders
 
3. SQL Server
 
4. Install SQL Server
 
5. Attach NEUROWERK Server Files
 
6. Install BDE Server

Update or Review station without SQL server.
 
This option is used to update an existing software or mainly to install a review station.
 
Installation components:
 
Copy NEUROWERK & Pro Data Folders
 
Backup existing NEUROWERK & Pro Data folders
 
Install BDE Server

3- Combined System EEG + EMG: select the correct EEG headbox and the
EMG amplifier first. You will see that the ‘Kombigerät’ option is selected. This
means that the required setting for the combined system is done.

Report Editor:

EEG report is compatible with Word Viewer, MS Word and WordPad.

EMG report is compatible with Word Viewer and MS Word.

MS Word:

This setup menu will set the editor automatically. If you have Microsoft Word Ver. 10, 13
or 16 it will detect the installed version and will set it to be the editor in both
NEUROWERK Center & EEG.

Please note: It is not possible to use WordPad as the editor if you installed MS Word.

MS WORD not installed:

1-EEG Device: These are the default settings for NWCenter Word Viewer and for NWEEG
WordPad:

If you want to set WordPad as the default report editor for NWCenter please check the
checkbox and then it will look like in the picture below:

2-EMG or Combined System (EEG&EMG):
The EMG summary report will be generated by the NWCenter so the default editor should
be Word View.

Since the EEG report is compatible with WordPad, this editor will be set as default.

Please note: If you select the EMG amplifier the “WordPad” Checkbox for NWCenter will
be deactivated.
