integrated strategy to prevent and
minimize pollution through a multi-
sectoral and participatory approach
involving all the stakeholders.

The law aims to achieve and


maintain clean air that meets the

Philippine mining act of 1995 (Republic Act
no. 7942)
In March 1995, President Fidel Ramos
signed into law the Philippine Mining
Act (Republic Act No. 7942) which was
designed to revive the mining industry
and attract more foreign investment by
defining the agreements for mineral
exploitation, and provide the
requirements for acquiring mining rights.

R.A 6969 Toxic substance and
hazardous waste management Act
•Republic Act 6969 of the
Philippines is also known as
"Toxic Substances and
Hazardous and Nuclear
Wastes Control Act of 1990".
The act was carried out to

and hazardous waste.
Ecological solid waste management Act (Ra
9003) RA 9003 describes solid
waste management as a
discipline associated with
the control of generation,
storage, collection,
transfer and transport,
processing, and disposal of
solid wastes.
Clean Water Act (Ra
9512)
An Act providing for a
comprehensive water quality
management and for other
purposes. This Act provides for the
abatement and control of pollution
from land based sources, and lays
down water quality standards
and regulations.
