Waxing is a temporary hair removal technique that pulls hairs out from the follicle, allowing regrowth to only be noticed 4-6 weeks later. Wax can be applied hot or cold, with cold wax requiring thicker application and direct removal against hair growth. Proper waxing involves preparing supplies and the client, applying thin layers of wax with strips in the direction of hair growth, and quickly removing the strips against hair growth. The area is then cleaned, soothed, and dismissal steps include clean up and booking a follow up appointment.

Do not leave wax heater on overnight. Be sure the wax is not too hot for sensitive areas. Sugar & lemon juice create a wax-like substance used for waxing for centuries. This is called “sugaring.”
