Himalayan Mountain
The Himalayas is the loftiest mountain in
the world, from the northern limit of India.
That great, geologically young mountain arc
is about 1,550 miles (2,500 km) long,
stretching from the peak of Nanga Parbat
(26,660 feet [8,126 meters]) in the
Pakistani-administered portion of the
Kashmir region to the Namcha Barwa peak
in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
Between those extremes, the mountains fall
across India, southern Tibet, Nepal, and
Bhutan. The width of the system varies
between 125 and 250 miles.
Deccan plateau
The Deccan Plateau in southern India is
located between the Western Ghats and the
Eastern Ghats and is loosely defined as the
peninsular region between these ranges that
is south of the Narmada river. To the north,
it is bounded by the Satpura and Vindhya
Ranges. The Deccan’s average elevation is
about 2,000 feet, sloping generally eastward.
Its principal rivers—the Godavari, Krishna,
and Kaveri flow from the Western Ghats
eastward to the Bay of Bengal.
Thar desert
The Thar Desert, also known as the Great
Indian Desert, is an arid region in the
northwestern part of the Subcontinent that
covers an area of 200,000 km2 and forms a
natural boundary between India and
Pakistan. It is the world's 20th-largest desert
and the world's 9th-largest hot subtropical
desert. More than 60% of the desert lies in
the Indian state of Rajasthan; the portion in
India also extends into Gujarat, Punjab, and
Haryana.
Bhabar plains
The Bhabar plains are located to the south of
Shivalik from Jammu to Assam. The breadth
or width of the Bhabar plains is more in the
western region as compared to the eastern
region. The bhabar tract comprises gravel and
un-assorted sediment deposits. This sediment
present in the soil is deposited by rivers
descending from the Himalayan mountains.
This region is not good for cultivation. The
area is popular with big trees with large roots.
Andaman and nicobar islands
Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a union
territory, in India, consists of two groups of
islands at the southeastern edge of the Bay of
Bengal. The peaks of a submerged mountain
range, the Andaman Islands, and their
neighbors to the south, the Nicobar Islands,
form an arc stretching southward for some
620 miles between Myanmar and the island
of Sumatra, Indonesia. This Island is one of
the major attractions in India. The beauty of
this place is rich coral reefs and fringed
shores.
UAE
The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates along the
eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. The largest of these emirates, Abu

centers, housing hundreds of multinational corporations Sharjah, Ajman,
Umm al-Quwain, and Ras al-Khaimah also occupy the peninsula, whose
protrusion north toward Iran forms the Strait of Hormuz linking the
Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. The federation’s seventh member,
Fujairah faces the Gulf of Oman and is the only member of the union
with no frontage along the Persian Gulf.
Jebal hafeet mountain
Jebel Hafeet is rising to a height of 1,249 meters,
this skyline-dominating peak is Abu Dhabi’s
highest, and the UAE’s second tallest. Standing
guard on the borders of Oman, this Al Ain
mountain has been weathered over millennia,
with significant fossil discoveries made in the
area being vital pieces in the jigsaw that makes
up the city’s ancient history. Jebel Hafit Desert
Park not only preserves the area’s rich history but
also its unique biodiversity, encouraging visitors
to experience this dynamic landscape up close
and understand how it has changed over millions
of years.
