ADDITION OF FRACTION

• Adding like denominator.

-when adding fraction with the same denominator, simply copy the denominator. Add the
numerator and if the answer can be reduced, simplify the fraction.

• Adding unlike denominator.

-when adding fraction with different denominator, make the denominator alike. Multiply the
numerator with another denominator and simply add.
SUBTRACTION OF FRACTION

• Subtracting like denominator.

-when subtracting fraction with the same denominator, simply copy the denominator. Subtract the
numerator and if the answer can be reduced, simplify the fraction.

• Subtracting unlike denominator.

-when subtracting fraction with different denominator, make the denominator alike. Multiply the
numerator with another denominator and simply subtract to find difference. Simplify.
